Entry requirements
- With GCSEs: No specific subjects required. Helpful: Biology, Combined Science. Typical: Usually five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, often including English and maths; colleges set their own requirements.
Careers it leads to
- Animal care worker: Looks after animals in kennels, rescue centres, zoos and grooming.
- Veterinary nurse: Nurses sick and injured animals and supports vets in surgery.
- Equine professional: Cares for, trains and manages horses in yards, studs and riding centres.
