What WayWhat is
WayWhat is a free guide to routes after GCSEs and A-levels in the UK: sixth form, T-levels, college courses, apprenticeships, degrees and careers. It's for general information only.
Not professional advice
WayWhat isn't a substitute for advice from a qualified careers adviser, teacher or the organisation you're applying to. Entry requirements, courses and opportunities change every year and vary between providers, so always check directly with the college, university or employer before making a decision. A careers adviser at your school or college, or the National Careers Service, can help.
Where the information comes from
Course information comes from the Discover Uni dataset published by HESA (Jisc), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Entry routes, subject guidance and career information are WayWhat's own general guidance. Apprenticeship standards come from Skills England. We work to keep everything accurate, but some information may be incomplete or out of date.
How WayWhat is funded
WayWhat is free for students and families and carries no adverts. Two optional things help cover hosting and running costs: revision-guide links to Amazon, where WayWhat earns a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you (as an Amazon Associate, WayWhat earns from qualifying purchases); and voluntary tips through Ko-fi. Neither affects which courses, places or careers WayWhat shows, or the order they appear in.
Versions for schools, colleges and universities
Schools, colleges, universities and other organisations interested in a customised or branded version of WayWhat can get in touch at [email protected]. Custom versions are provided by arrangement, at an agreed cost.
