Entry requirements
- With GCSEs: No specific subjects required. Typical: No set grades needed; designed as a first job and stepping stone for young people. You'll keep working on English and maths if needed.
Careers it leads to
- Painter and decorator: Prepares and finishes surfaces with paint, wallpaper and specialist coatings.
- Plasterer: Finishes walls and ceilings, from smooth plaster to decorative mouldings.
