Entry requirements
- With GCSEs: No specific subjects required. Typical: No set grades needed; designed as a first job and stepping stone for young people. You'll keep working on English and maths if needed.
Careers it leads to
- Electrician: Installs and maintains electrical systems in homes and businesses.
- Plumber or heating engineer: Installs and repairs water, heating and gas systems.
- Low-carbon heating installer: Installs heat pumps and other low-carbon heating, helping homes cut their energy use.
